The Process
About AWE - Arab Women Entrepreneurial Association
AWE - an association established at the beginning of 2021.
Its purpose is to create a community of entrepreneurial Arab women to promote equal opportunities for women in the Arab community in Israel and the world, as well as to promote
the economic independence of the women in the community.
AWE provides exposure and training in the world of entrepreneurship to the female Arab public, through courses, workshops, and enrichment courses (frontal and virtual), and also connects the women of the community to business mentors throughout the country and the world.
Understanding AWE needs and pain points
The means that exist today for managing a community are not sufficiently developed and don't provide a sufficient response to the concrete needs of AWE - Entrepreneurial Arab Women Association.
Among the AWE community are women of all ages, located throughout Israel and the world with diverse interests.
In order to bring together such a heterogeneous public, new creative tools are needed.
AWE needs more accurate technological solutions that will strengthen the ability to attract and recruit women to the field of entrepreneurship and create a large supportive community where they could meet, learn, dream, and be inspired by each other.
Research
Our research included interviews with the director and members of AWE,
and a questionnaire that we distributed in Facebook groups dealing with women in Arab society in Israel
Here are the main output from the research:
70%
of women would consider becoming a mentor to help other women
56%
of the women indicated that they already have an idea for the project, but need guidance
51%
of the women in the study are already members of the community
58%
of women will download the app to be part of the community
Our solution
NOON -
A community platform for entrepreneurial women in Arab society.
The app coordinates community events, makes the mentorship program accessible, and connects the women of the community around the world.
-
We have developed a calendar for events for the AWE meetings and workshops, which includes a convenient registration system and receive updates and reminders.
-
Strengthening the mentoring program by streamlining communication between mentors and mentees. The app helps to connect according to a common field of interest or geographical proximity and lets each user compile a personal profile and indicate what her needs are.
-
Accessing the various WhatsApp groups of the AWE members to enable joining the relevant group and always feel connected.
why Noon? Because Noon is the first letter that symbolizes women in the Arabic language.
Target audience

The users of the application are Arab girls and women who are members of the AWE, they want to be part of a community that develops the field of entrepreneurship and helps each other.
-

The business model for the product
The advantage of this product is that it is not based on one-way financial gain but on mutual help, the application locates women in the immediate area and matches them according to their needs with a mentor who can help them.
Who else can use the app?
-
Associations interested in improving the status of women, for example, "Future Entrepreneurs", which finances businesses and training for women from all over the country, the application will organize their activities in an easier and more accessible way.
-
Government officials - National Insurance has been trying for years to solve problems for the economic crisis for Arab women in the periphery. The app with the same features will be able to solve the problem and organize the activity and projects designed to help other women.
-
In recent years educational institutions are starting to invest money in practical projects alongside investing in informal education with the same application and almost with the same screens it is possible to organize activities for students in universities and schools. It can also be marketed to a chain of private schools.
-
We notice that in recent years, banks and financial entities are taking a step forward and are socially involved in Israeli society - every year a scholarship distribution ceremony is held at the same time as social involvement - it is possible to take advantage of the banks' interest in the subject and solve a problem that not only affects Arab society but Israeli society in general.
Thanks to Max Impact for the guidance and support,
I had the pleasure of meeting amazing people and working in a team,
I hope we were able to influence and create a change in AWE and help them imagine the change they want to make in the arab society
