In their memory

Client: Davar newspaper
Year: 2023
Type: Website
My Role
I worked closely with the client and the development team to design and implement the memorial website. My responsibilities included UX and UI design, creating a clear and respectful interface under tight time constraints.
Challenge
In the early days of the war, there was an urgent need to build a digital space for documenting and commemorating the fallen. The site had to accommodate a large and growing number of entries—civilians, security forces, and victims from different events. The design needed to be dignified, easy to navigate, and allow for intuitive search.
Approach
Speed and clarity were key. I focused on a clean, respectful visual language, ensuring accessibility and responsiveness. The color palette and typography were chosen to balance clarity with a commemorative tone. Despite the emotional weight of the project, working on it gave me a sense of purpose and the feeling that I was contributing something meaningful in a time of crisis.

Conclusion
This project taught me how design can serve urgent social needs, especially in times of crisis. Balancing emotional sensitivity with functional clarity was essential in creating a tool for remembrance and collective grief.
