WeAreMENA - Website & Branding

Client: WeAreMENA
Year: 2025
Type: Website & Branding
My Role
Brand & Digital Designer – responsible for visual identity, logo design, website strategy, UX/UI design, and full website development in WordPress using Elementor.
Challenge
WeAreMENA is a non-profit network supporting civil society leaders across the Middle East and North Africa. The organization needed a visual identity and website that would feel warm, human, and trustworthy – while still remaining professional and flexible enough to grow with them over time. In addition, the brand needed to sit alongside the parent organization’s identity, reflecting a shared mission without losing its own independent voice.
Approach
I worked closely with the founding team to understand the values, tone, and emotional context they wanted the brand to communicate. From there, I shaped a visual language centered around connection, community, and shared purpose. I then translated the brand into a digital experience and personally developed the website in WordPress using Elementor, ensuring full alignment between design intent and implementation while keeping the site easy for the team to manage long-term.

Brand Language Connected to the Parent Organization

The color palette intentionally echoes the parent organization’s identity to create continuity and trust. At the same time, WeAreMENA has its own logo, visual rhythm, and tone – allowing it to function as an independent network while still belonging to a broader ecosystem. This balance between unity and individuality guided every design decision.

Story-First Website Experience

The site structure is intentionally simple and content-focused. Visitors can quickly understand who the organization serves, what it does, and how to get involved – without visual noise or unnecessary layers. The design emphasizes typography, whitespace, and soft visual energy to create a welcoming and human-centered experience.
Conclusion
Designing and developing the WeAreMENA brand and website was a deeply collaborative process built on listening and trust. The result is a visual and digital foundation that helps the organization communicate its mission with clarity and warmth – and one that can continue to evolve as the network grows.
